Progressive Era

The beat from the 1900s to the 1920s is known as the progressive date and in this was the era of multiple political, economic, social, and moral reforms. These included efforts to outlaw the exchange of alcohol; regulate child labor and sweatshops; scientifically monitor natural resources; insure pure and wholesome water and draw; Americanize immigrants or restrict immigration altogether; and wear off or regulate trusts.
